On November 26, 2024, the IIB, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, and Futures Industry Association submitted a comment letter to the Department of Justice concerning the proposed rulemaking on bulk data transfers to countries of concern. The associations recommended a number of ways to more carefully calibrate the proposal and clarify ambiguous language.
